Environmental Field Technician
Seeking an entry-level field technician for field data collection activities, operation and maintenance of remediation systems, detailed documentation of field activities, and communication with project managers. Position requires strict adherence to Health and Safety procedures and attention to detail. Position involves working outdoors, long work days (10 hours typical in the field), walking, and heavy lifting. Travel to out-of-town locations as much as 90% of the time; overnight stays required depending on distance to job site. Looking for a self-motivated individual who possesses good hands-on mechanical and electrical skills and is willing to learn.
Field Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Field sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, and air;
• Operation and maintenance tasks of soil and groundwater remediation systems;
• Remedial system monitoring /sampling;
• Oversight of well installation;
• Compliance with Health & Safety procedures and company protocols;
• Thorough, accurate, and detailed documentation of field activities;
• Ability to work independently and as a team member;
• Interaction with and oversight of environmental and construction subcontractors.
Requirements for Field Technician position:
• High school diploma or vocational degree;
• Must posses hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude and trouble-shooting skills on pumps, motors and PLC units;
• Basic computer skills;
• Travel is required with this position (up to 90%; overnight stays required depending on distance to job site);
• HAZWOPER (OSHA 40 hr) training is a plus;
• Experience in environmental data collection, surveying, and drilling helpful.
The successful candidate must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, and must meet the requirements of Cox-Colvin's substance abuse and reference check policy.

Project or Senior Geologist/Hydrogeologist/Engineer
Seeking Geologist/Hydrogeologist/Engineer with 5 to 10 years of consulting experience in technical implementation and management of municipal solid waste groundwater monitoring, hazardous waste site investigation, and remediation projects. Candidates should possess excellent writing and communication skills. Ideal candidate should have the ability to increase our expanding industrial client base in Ohio and the Midwest.
